Munich. Back from the summer break, SSR Performance is highly motivated for the second half of the season. After the turbulent weekend in Zandvoort, the success of the first races should now be built on. The venue for the next ADAC GT Masters round is the demanding Lausitzring. Slow corners, bumps and a wall that shows no mercy characterize the track, on which two top 5 placements were recorded last year.
Currently leading in the team and driver standings, it is up to veteran Michael Ammermüller and factory driver Mathieu Jaminet to use this event of the international GT championship to defend their position.
For the first time since 2019, spectators will be allowed in the paddock at the Lausitzring from September 10 to 12.
In 2021 SSR Performance can rely on the support of Cruisefire. The unique concept of Cruisefire GmbH is aimed at all owners of sports cars and super sports cars who share a great passion for automobiles and the fun of driving. Cruisefire enables its customers unparalleled experiences and offers ultimate adventures across Europe. The lifestyle network for sports car enthusiasts and entrepreneurs regularly organizes the sports car meeting Concorso di Bavaria, spectacular sports car tours and extravagant community events where the focus is on the enthusiasm for the fast automobile.
The Munich based team is also supported by the EDAG Group, Becker Carbon, Riemensperger Mechanische Werkstätte GmbH, Hochwald Sprudel, Sonic Tools, NIMEX and KW Suspensions.
Stefan Schlund, Team Owner SSR Performance: “After a very long summer break, we have to start the season very focused again and collect important points for the championship. We are very motivated and are really looking forward to the Lausitzring. ”
Michael Cap, Head of Motorsports: “After the unexpected break, we are all looking forward to the upcoming racing weekend at the Lausitzring. Last year we got off to a very good start to the season here. Of course, we would like to continue this tradition and extend our lead in the standings. ”
