Munich. The foundation for a successful ADAC GT Masters season has been laid. With two out of four race wins, Michael Ammermüller and Mathieu Jaminet are currently in first place in the drivers’ standings. The team performance was rewarded with important points, so that the SSR Performance team also took the lead in its category.
Stefan Schlund’s team is looking forward to the third stop of the International GT Championship in Zandvoort, well prepared and highly concentrated. The ADAC GT Masters will take place in the Netherlands from July 9th to 11th. The newly converted track has already been explored in a pre-season test, leaving SSR Performance well sorted for the weekend.
In 2021 SSR Performance can count on the support of Hochwald Sprudel. Grown from family tradition and run as an innovative family business for several generations, Hochwald Sprudel has been rooted in the Hochwald region and the national park communities for many decades. The Schwollen and Thalfang production sites are in the midst of this natural backdrop. Sustainable use of resources has always been important to the company, because natural mineral water is also a natural product. Social commitment is also an important concern for Hochwald Sprudel, which is why they support the Laureus – Sport For Good Foundation in the implementation of funding projects for children and young people. In addition to mineral water, the Hochwald product range also includes lemonades, spritzers as well as sports and soft drinks.
The Munich team is also supported by the EDAG Group, Becker Carbon, Riemensperger Mechanische Werkstätte GmbH, Cruisefire, Sonic Tools, NIMEX and KW Suspensions.
Stefan Schlund, Team Owner SSR Performance: “We have set the bar very high with two out of four race wins. It is all the more important to continue to do a flawless and focused job. My team is highly motivated and heads for the third round of the season in Zandvoort, with the necessary luck we will hopefully take home valuable points. ”
Michael Cap, Head of Motorsports: “After two very successful race weekends at the beginning of the season, it is of course our clear goal to further extend our lead in the championship in Zandvoort. We were able to prove that the entire team is very well established and we will do everything in the Netherlands to get good placings and important points in both races. ”
Wolfgang Hatz, Team Principal SSR Performance: “In the race, the main thing will be to cope with the particularities of the track. Zandvoort is characterized by banking, which puts a lot of strain on the tires and pushes them to their limits. Our primary goal must be to score as many points as possible for the championship. I think that we are well equipped with our test in the spring and therefore look to the weekend with confidence. ”
