SSR Performance celebrates start-to-finish victory at Sachsenring

The title fight continues to come to a head. Michael Ammermüller (GER) and Mathieu Jaminet (FRA) win the race on Saturday and write history with their third victory of the season. The number 92 is the first Porsche to win at the Sachsenring. On Sunday, the duo was able to collect more points with the tenth place.

Race 1

The weekend at the Sachsenring got off to a promising start. With a lap time of 1:18.426, Porsche facotry driver Mathieu Jaminet dominated the qualifying on Saturday. The perfect teamwork during the race ultimately ensured the start-to-finish victory for the Munich based team in the Porsche 911 GT3 R. The team also wrote history that day. The number 92 is the first Porsche to win a race at the demanding Sachsenring.

Race 2

Starting from tenth position, SSR driver Michael Ammermüller had no luck in the start phase of the second race. After being spun in a collision, the Porsche veteran rolled up the field from behind. Mathieu Jaminet took over the racing car in 17th place and finally crossed the finish line as tenth.

The sixth ADAC GT Masters weekend will take place from October 22nd to 24th at the Hockenheimring.

“The weekend was very good. We made up points and had a perfect Saturday. On Sunday we had a lot of bad luck with the accident in the start phase. Otherwise, I guess we could certainly have finished fourth or fifth. Those would have been important points for the championship. We have to be happy that we were able to continue and cross the finish line in tenth position. If it continues like this, we can be satisfied.”

“We had a pretty good weekend. We came here as fifth in the championship and we managed to close the gap to the leader and are now on third position. The first target is done. Winning race one was great because we didn’t expect to win here. We can be really proud of this! Looking at race two it’s a shame we got involved in an incident in turn one. The behavior of some other people is simply wrong and destroyed the race. We lost some points today but overall I’m really happy with the weekend. It was one of the strongest of this year. It’s been a great job by the entire team.”

SSR Performance still on the road to success in the ADAC GT Masters

After four of 14 races, SSR Performance leads both the team and the driver standings in the ADAC GT Masters. In Zandvoort, the aim is to build on the success of the first two events.

Munich. The foundation for a successful ADAC GT Masters season has been laid. With two out of four race wins, Michael Ammermüller and Mathieu Jaminet are currently in first place in the drivers’ standings. The team performance was rewarded with important points, so that the SSR Performance team also took the lead in its category.

Stefan Schlund’s team is looking forward to the third stop of the International GT Championship in Zandvoort, well prepared and highly concentrated. The ADAC GT Masters will take place in the Netherlands from July 9th to 11th. The newly converted track has already been explored in a pre-season test, leaving SSR Performance well sorted for the weekend.

In 2021 SSR Performance can count on the support of Hochwald Sprudel. ADAC GT Masters Oschersleben: SSR performance with outstanding victory in Oschersleben

With a lead of more than 22 seconds, Michael Ammermüller (GER) and Mathieu Jaminet (FRA) secured victory in the second ADAC GT Masters race in Oschersleben. Together with the seventh place in the previous day’s race, SSR Performance collected important points for the championship.

Race 1

After SSR Performance was one of the favorites in the field with four top 3 placements in Thursday’s test, the hopes for qualifying were correspondingly high. But an interruption of the session thwarted the Munich team’s plans. Michael Ammermüller had to start the race from the seventh row on the grid.

SSR Performance was able to take advantage of the one-hour race and delivered an exciting race to catch up, which was ultimately rewarded with seventh place and valuable points for the championship.

Race 2

The second race of the ADAC GT Masters season was tough due to rain showers before the start. Mathieu Jaminet handed the car over to his teammate Michael Ammermüller, who was in second position, taking over the Porsche 911 GT3 R # 92 on slicks. Even though some positions had to be given up initially, the decision to switch to slicks and the team’s fault-free pit stop proved to be expedient. The reigning champion delivered one exciting overtaking maneuver after the other. In the end, he crossed the finish line of the race with a lead of more than 22 seconds as the winner.

The weekend in Oschersleben was also very positive for the young talent Laurin Heinrich. With a third and first place, he celebrated considerable success in the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany. Congratulations!

The second ADAC GT Masters weekend will take place from June 11th to 13th at the Red Bull Ring, Austria.

That was the first time for this team that we changed tires in the race. Nobody made a mistake and so we are very happy to have won this difficult race. “It was a gamble in the first corner that we passed. After the safety car phase, the Mercedes had a better grip and so I had to give up a place. At the end of the stint we were very fast and made the right decision to switch to slicks at the pit stop. We were one of the few vehicles in the top 10 to change tires.
